The former Kyambura Game Lodge is located on the walls of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The opulent cottages of the lodge offers breath-taking views of the vast Park, the Maramagambo Forest and the Kazinga Channel on the horizons.
The Kyambura Gorge is a rich tropical forest next to the Equator crossing. The gorge is home to an amazing wildlife and birdlife, plus a variety of primates that include chimpanzees, red tailed, white and black Columbus, vervet monkeys and baboons.
The cottages are spacious with King or Twin beds, showers, flash toilets, vanities and wash basins with hot water throughout the day.
Queen Elizabeth National Park opens widely in front of each cottage offers breath-taking views of the park wonder to each of the 8 private, exclusive and tastefully appointed cottages.
The lodge is designed in the 1920s safari style that takes you back to the Safari days. The cottages have been designed with a shelling at the back that holds the piping frame in place, this leads into your bathroom and toilet.
To keep the hot tropical heat in check during the day, the outer roofing of banana fibre or papyrus reeds are so amazingly. The cottages are built on locally available materials which is part of our conservation strategy.
These cottages offers unlimited privacy, exclusivity and quietude, they are spread across the lodge with 4 cottages on each side of the guest house and the small intimate swimming pool comprising of 3 doubles and 5 twins with a space of adding in an extra bed for guests traveling with children.
3 of the cottages are designed to offer a honey moon experience right in the heart of the park. Hand crafted King size beds complements the experience. The serenity and quietude of the lodge punctuated by the wild wind and the sweet sounds of birds, other wild life and the singing of trees offers an ambience like no other. The staff will always be at hand to throw in a deck dinner, a sun-downer, a romantic turn-down or bubbly to crown your honey moon.
Mazike Valley Lodge is right in the heart of Kyambura gorge which is famed for its underground forest that is inhabited by habituated chimpanzees’ families for tracking. The location of Mazike Valley Lodge offers its guests the opportunity of enjoying game drives in the greater Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The park has varieties of Flora and Fauna and is a home to over 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species. This is also the home of the tree climbing lions a spectacle to watch.
Queen Elizabeth national park is 1978kms or 764ms with an altitude of between 910 – 1350m. Or 2986’ – 4429 feet. The advantageous to the park are offered an opportunity to do a full day or half day game drives within the area.
