The lodge is located approximately 500m away from the trading centre Akageti, towards Lake Mburo National Park when travelling west on the main road between Kampala and Mbarara. Rwakobo Rock situated about 8km from the main road and 1.5 km from the Nshara park gate of Lake Mburo protected area. 3 and a half hours from Kampala.
Rwakobo Rock is breath taking in sense of wild Uganda, with 8 comfortable and spacious cottages are dotted around the hill, they are all very private and offering great sunset views. The main dining area overlooks the rock that adjoins the park, set in the pristine Ankole ranch lands surrounding Lake Mburo National Park.
Rwakobo was established on a scenic outcrop with breath taking views of animals like zebra, warthog, impala and bushbuck bound around the lodge and often congregate at the water hole beneath the dining area. Enjoy the night sounds of bush come to life and allow your imagination to run wild.
Rwakobo Rock set on a large rock outcrop behind Lake Mburo National Park, and offers private thatched cottages, with solar lighting, flush toilets and solar heated showers which matches the natural landscape.
The cottages are dotted around the hill taking advantage of rocky ledges and corners, the cottages celebrate the natural lines of the surrounding wilderness, and they also provide guests with real comfort and luxury that doesn’t cost the earth.
They have self-contained rooms available in the Hornbill House. This beautiful thatch building has got 5 bedrooms each with their own en-suite and veranda.

Rwakobo rock is situated just over 1Km from the Nshara Gate of Lake Mburo National Park. Day or night excursions into the park are very enjoyable. The drive from the main road passes through the lovely Nshara government ranch, where the magnificent Ankole cattle graze peacefully alongside herds of Zebra.
The Bahima pastoralists are the residents of the area, still their traditional standards of living are excellent custodians of the natural landscape and its biodiversity.
Rwakobo offers a variety of activities like nature walks, hikes, and other scenic views. Rwakobo also offers mountain biking and caters for night drives, while the park can be discovered by vehicle, foot or boat. Every night, there is a camp fire so you can watch the sunset explode into a brilliant starlit sky but this depend on whether condition.
